Digitized Structural Inspection and Maintenance Management

Afrigle Innovations in collaboration with client participation developed a digital structure inspection application branded as e-SIMM's. The application was developed applying the SIMMS governing guidelines. This digital real-time inspection logging application is a critical aspect of modern structural inspections, using integrated IoT telemetry with:

Infrared scanning, or IR scanning used to detect temperature variations that can indicate underlying defects like cracks, corrosion, and delamination,

A device utilizing a specialized magnifier with built-in illumination and measurement scales, to accurately detect and quantify crack widths.

An integrated camera for capturing in situ real-time images for analysis and record keeping
Real-Time Data Transfer:

Data collected in the field (measurements, images, notes, digital signatures) is passed instantly into the backend of an integrated AMMS ERP system, ensuring tasks are scheduled to be repaired/replace and decision-makers have access to accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date status information.(e-SIMM's SA is currently integrated with a mining industry SAP version)

Online/Offline Capabilities: The mobile app is designed to work seamlessly even in remote areas or locations with poor network coverage. Data is stored locally on the device is automatically synchronized with the AMMS ERP once a connection is available.

Barcode/QR Code Integration: Technicians can scan equipment barcodes or QR codes to quickly access relevant asset information, perform inspections, and initiate actions, reducing manual data entry errors.

Guided Workflows and Checklists: The applications present guided, step-by-step instructions and dynamic steps for various inspection ensuring compliance and consistency.

Automated Notifications: Issues identified during an inspection, automatically triggers notifications or even new work orders in the AMMS ERP system, enabling faster response and proactive maintenance.
This technology replaces traditional paper-based checklists with automated systems that provide instant data updates, work schedules, allowing for real-time notifications to facilitate actionable corrective insights/interventions .
